The "2021 Carbon Neutrality Summit Forum", jointly hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Edinburgh in the UK, was recently held in Lingang. China will strive to achieve "carbon peaking" by 2030 and "carbon neutrality" by 2060. Among them, Shanghai aims to achieve carbon peaking in 2025. Experts believe that carbon peaking and carbon neutrality cover a wide range and have long gone beyond specific fields such as energy and transportation. The achievement of the goals cannot be achieved without the support of a large number of relevant talents and intelligence. 

It is introduced that Lingang has always adhered to the new development concepts of innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing, and has made every effort to promote the research and practice of the "Low - carbon Demonstration Area Construction Plan of Lingang New Area" to jointly work towards achieving carbon peaking in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060.
