Airui Translation Quality Assurance Process

Airui Translation Company has always focused on providing clients with the highest quality translation services and has gradually established ten key quality assurance processes. We implement multi-step review procedures for all translation projects to ensure that the translations are accurate, idiomatic, and aligned with the expressions of the target language, aiming to effectively convey your brand value to the target audience through our translations.

Project Evaluation

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall evaluation of the project:

- Task Analysis: A comprehensive understanding of the project situation and client requirements.

- Project Planning: Developing a corresponding translation process based on specific client requirements.

- Information Sharing: Ensuring that all members of the project team fully understand the translation process and its specific requirements.

Pre-Translation Preparation

Quality control begins with pre-translation processing, and preventive control measures include:

- Collecting relevant reference documents and providing them to the translators.

- Pre-processing the source files to facilitate subsequent translation by the translators.

- Providing translators with translation guidelines and detailed instructions.

Creation of Terminology Glossary

For large projects, we generally create a terminology glossary before translation for reference by translators. If it is not possible to create a glossary in advance due to time constraints, we will compile a glossary after project completion to ensure consistency of terms in subsequent projects.

Translation

The linguistic ability and expertise of the translator determine the quality of the translation. Our project managers select translators based on the following principles: they must be native speakers, proficient in their professional field, and possess certain qualifications and experience.

Editing

All initial drafts of translations undergo secondary proofreading by experienced translators/reviewers. Translation is a manual task, and regardless of the translator's skill level, errors or stylistic differences can occur; this is why we insist on multiple rounds of review. Additionally, we use a scientific quality assessment system to evaluate and score the translation quality of our translators, continuously selecting high-quality translators to provide services to our clients.

Translation Review

After reviewing the initial draft, reviewers provide feedback and return it to the original translator. If the original translator disagrees with any modifications, they must provide justifications for further verification by the reviewer. If requested by the client, we can also provide the revised translation for client review before the final version is completed to gather client feedback.

Typesetting

Our typesetting team accurately formats the translation, taking into account cultural differences of the target audience, ensuring consistency with the original format. While typesetting the translation, we usually use the same application software as the source file. In certain cases, we may opt for application software that better suits the font and other requirements of the target language. The project manager ensures that all delivered files meet your requirements.

Final Review

The reviewer or the original translator conducts a final review of the project files to ensure that all content and formatting are accurate.

Final Check/Delivery

Before delivery, the project manager consolidates all final deliverables and conducts a thorough inspection to confirm that they meet client requirements.
